Google Building a New Operating System to Compete with Microsoft Windows
Late last night Google announced its plans to release a new operating system to compete with Microsoft Windows named Google Chrome OS.
The operating system is being designed to boot or start-up in a matter of seconds versus Windows which can take over five minutes to start. Chrome OS is expect to ship in the second half of 2010 or in about a year on netbooks made by HP, Acer, and others.
